On the morning rankings Aquarelle.com the long time Class40 leaders have passed into the second half of the Caribbean stretch, with less than 500 miles to the finish. Yannick Bestaven and Eric Drouglazet had 435 miles to reach Puerto Limon in Costa Rica and so are expected on the morning of Thursday November 24th, if the conditions remain favourable

The Caribbean trade winds are brisk and very much conducive to high speeds ERDF have slowed in recent hours but had been close to the magical threshold of 350 miles traveled in 24 hours, even so the averages posted by Damien Seguin and Yoann Richomme underline their high speeds. Spearing downwind during the last 24 hours the duo have stabilised their distance to Aquarelle.com at around 117 miles.

Behind the two leaders, 40 Degrees and Solo are still engaged in the duel for third place, with a slight advantage still to the British-American duo.  Hannah Jenner and Jesse Naimark-Rowse are ahead this morning, withRune Aasberg and Simen Lovgren on Solo 54 miles behind and still chasing hard

Approaching Mona Passage and the race is still tight with 11th Hour Racing – Nick Halmos and Hugh Piggin still just holding the edge over Group Picoty. They had about 120 miles to make to Mona Island, the milestone out of the Atlantic and into the Caribbean with 11th Hour Racing computed to be just two miles ahead, the pair are less than ten miles apart on the water.
