Sam Goodchild at 500 miles to go

We have been reaching down the coast of brazil for about 5 days and finally put the spinaker up yesterday afternoon. We spent the night with a building breeze and swapped to the gennaker around sunrise. Probably not the best decision for performance, but lacking much experiece and confidence in strong downwind Imoca sailing, we're trying to avoid as many silly mistakes as possible with only 500miles to go, we're hoping to be able to hold off Matmut and Buree Vallee, but there is a lot of sail and decisions to be made in the last 48hrs of this race. Not least the next 12hrs of downwind sailing. We still havent seen brazil, just beliving our charts it is actually there. !we even passed 13miles away earlier and signs of terra firma. Other than that we are approaching Rio with 500miles to Itajai.

All for now
