Dreams are made of this...showers, caipirinhas, dry bed

It is now more than two weeks, 15 days, in fact since François Gabart and Pascal Bidégorry broke the finish line first into Itajaí. Today the fifth placed Class40 finished, TeamWork 40 (Bertrand Delesne and Nils Palmieri) 10 hrs 55 '45' '(UTC) after 26 days and 22 hours of racing, But there are still six duos racing hard and looking forwards to the same simple pleasures on land, a shower, clean clothes, a dry still bed and a Caipirinha.

The next arrival at Itajaí will make a big splash. Zetra, an all Brazilian team will complete the course for the first time in the history of the Transat Jacques Vabre. Eduardo Penido and Renato Araujo are expected between Sunday night and Monday.  The welcome into Itajaí’s new marina will be massive.

Zetra maintain their lead over the very tightly matched trio, all within 15 miles of each other, with Setin Group, SNBSM_Espoir Competition and girls on Concise 2. They are around 350 miles to the finish line.
