After 24 years of existence, The Transat Jacques Vabre found its rythm and its format, it convinced the sailors and exited the public. It also confirmed its validity and its partners.
The original idea is simple: a great race is based on a historical course.
As a good coffee, this trial is a mix of tastes and aromas. Let’s start a “Transat”….expresso!

  • 1993: The creation of “La Route du Café”, a single-handed race from Le Havre to Cartagena in Colombia
  • 1995: The Transat Jacques Vabre becomes a double-handed race
  • 2001: New destination to Salvador de Bahia in Brazil
  • 2009: The race stopped in Puerto Limon, Costa Rica
  • 2013: Back in Brazil, with a new port of call: Itajaí
